Yes — pick any emoji in the Emoji tab and it's rendered at every export size with the background and corner radius you choose. Because it's a real emoji glyph, it looks the same on the finished favicon as it does everywhere else emoji appear.
Icon search is powered by Iconify, which aggregates dozens of open-source icon sets (Material Design Icons, Solar, Phosphor, Lucide and more). The large majority are MIT or Apache licensed and free to use commercially, but licenses vary by set — check the specific icon set if you're shipping a paid product.
Only if you're confident about where it'll be shown. Browser tabs handle transparency fine, but iOS fills any transparent area of an apple-touch-icon with solid black. If your icon needs to look right on an iPhone home screen, pick a solid background color instead.
Most operating systems automatically mask app icons into a rounded square or circle, which can clip artwork that goes edge-to-edge. The slider lets you preview and bake in your own rounding, so the exported PNGs already look right before any OS masking is applied.
No. Every render happens in your browser using the Canvas API — nothing is uploaded, and closing the tab clears everything. The only network request is fetching the chosen icon's SVG from Iconify's public API.
Not in a single batch — the Generator works on one icon, emoji, text or image per session. For multiple brands or sites, run through the process again for each one; every export is independent, so there's no risk of settings bleeding between them.
Yes. Everything you download is a standard PNG, ICO or JSON file with no proprietary format or lock-in — open them in any image editor or text editor if you need to tweak something after the fact.
